Community Action Agencies Receive Affordable Housing Program Awards

December 5, 2012 – Three WISCAP member agencies are among groups to receive Affordable Housing Program (AHP) Awards from Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago.

ADVOCAP, serving Fond du Lac, Green Lake and Winnebago counties, has been awarded $360,000 to construct a multi-family rental property serving the elderly in Fond du Lac.

Couleecap, serving Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe and Vernon counties, has been recognized with $1,039,900 for five projects:  $160,000 for accessibility improvements for single-family homes in Crawford, La Crosse and Monroe counties; twenty homes in Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe and Vernon counties will receive rehabilitation with $160,000; $240,000 is allocated to rehab 30 properties in Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe and Vernon counties; $240,000 will rehab 30 single-family homes with weatherization services in Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe and Vernon counties; and a $239,900 AHP subsidy is for the purchase of 30 homes in Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe and Vernon counties.

West Cap, which serves Barron, Chippewa, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties, has received $148,354 for the construction of multi-family rental units serving the elderly in Menomonie.
