Lakeshore CAP Announces New Executive Director

Lakeshore Community Action Program (Lakeshore CAP) is pleased to announce that Colleen Homb has accepted the position of Executive Director. In this role, Colleen will provide the overall direction and leadership in managing the affairs of a four-county agency including: advocating for the interests of low-income individuals and families, ensuring effective program operations, adhering to state and federal regulations and contractual obligations, maintaining agency fiscal integrity, strategic planning, resource development, and providing assistance to the Board of Directors.

Colleen has been serving as Interim Executive Director since February 2017. The Board of Directors has recognized Colleen for excellent performance in both organization and team leadership, communication, and team development, as well as living the mission and advocacy. Colleen has worked at Lakeshore CAP since 2005 in the following roles: Youth Mentoring Program Coordinator, Community Services Team Leader and Family Development Director. Prior to joining Lakeshore CAP, Colleen was a case manager working with at children in foster care, teen and families at Catholic Charities in Bloomington, Illinois. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Sciences from Illinois State University. She serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for Hope House. Colleen has made the Lakeshore her home with her husband, Dana, and three children.
