November 13, 2012 – Plover, WI – For the fifth year Pat’s CARSTAR in Plover will be donating a vehicle via a gifting program called Recycled Rides through CAP services. The Recycled Rides Program originated after Hurricane Katrina. It is now a nation wide program through the National Auto Body Council (NABC).
CAP Services takes applications from families that are in need of reliable transportation for their job and/or education. CAP staff accept applications from families enrolled in programs in Portage County and then an ad hoc committee of CAP’s Board of Directors select the family they decide is in most need.
This year, repairs are in process at Pat’s CARSTAR on a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. Once all repairs are completed, new tires and an alignment are donated along with a complete mechanical check. To check progress on the vehicle (http://www.facebook.com/pats.carstar?fref=ts).
The date the vehicle will be donated is Monday, November 19th, 10:00AM at Pat’s CARSTAR. In attendance will be the parties that have donated to the repair, Plover Village officials, CAP Services, and the family receiving the vehicle.
