November 10, 2012 – Glenwood City, WI – Peter Kilde, Executive Director of the West Central Community Action Agency (West CAP), was re-elected as 3rd Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Community Action Partnership at the national organization’s annual meeting, held in New York in mid-August.
The Partnership serves as the training and educational arm for the network of Community Action Agencies throughout the nation. Peter has served as West CAP’s Executive Director since 1995, leading the agency in various innovative approaches in the area of service delivery and community development. West CAP serves seven (7) counties in west central Wisconsin: Barron, Chippewa, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix.
In his leadership role with the Partnership, Peter has taken the lead in the development of the ‘New Reality’ initiative, an educational and structural approach to addressing long-term issues of poverty by acknowledging various substantive changes approaching in our country’s economy and resource base.
